中国医科大学健康科学研究院方永强(Peng Weng Kung)课题组拟招聘助理研究员一名,具体内容如下:

一、工作主要职责

中国医科大学健康科学研究院方永强(Peng Weng Kung)(国家“千人计划”青年项目入选者)课题组拟招聘助理研究员一名,具有博士后经历者优先考虑。主要工作为利用(超)快速,多维NMR光谱(在时间或频率范围内)开发下一代分子表型使用微型紧凑型核磁共振系统(例如,低场台式,手持式单芯片),对细胞/组织进行高度独特的分子指纹识别。本课题组面向国际科学前沿,面向国家战略需求,主要中国沈阳地方医院以及欧洲和东南亚的多个国际合作地点开展临床研究,重点关注慢性病(如糖尿病,癌症,子宫内膜异位症)。在交叉学科研究和国际合作基础上,本课题组将获得欧洲国际伊比利亚纳米技术实验室联合研究的机会。

下一代分子表型的多维核磁共振谱的发展

90年代初,随着第一个人类基因组计划的启动,人们对基因在疾病发生中的作用进行了广泛的探索。然而,遗传因素对不同疾病的作用是不同的,而非遗传因素(例如环境危害,饮食,微生物组)对疾病发病具有更大的归因风险,从而产生“随机”的大型表型池。理解人类健康和疾病的关键目标是获取“基因型-表型”关系图谱,以及将精准转化医学(如分子医学)转化为临床应用。

二、应聘条件

(1)近期将取得电气/生物医学/机械工程,生物化学,应用物理或相关研究领域的博士学位(博士后出站),或获得博士学位后(博士后出站)不超过三年;具有在核磁共振或疾病模型(如癌症,糖尿病,子宫内膜异位症)、遗传算法“基因型-表型”网络映射或遗传学领域等博士后工作经验;在多维NMR光谱学或代谢组学核磁共振,磁共振成像(或fMRI),电子自旋共振或其他相关分析方法(如自旋电子学,拉曼光谱学)方面拥有丰富的经验;具有IRB使用及处理临床样本的经验;在仪器开发(如射频探测,梯度场)和多元分析知识方面有丰富经验。

(2)具有较强的独立完成实验能力,有较强的团队合作精神,能够密切关注实验细节并按时完成科研工作;能够及时连续做好科研结果记录;与业界合作进行研究的经验受到好评。

三、方永强(Peng Weng Kung)科研团队

中国医科大学健康科学研究院教授,国家“千人计划”青年项目入选者,担任欧洲伊比利亚国际纳米技术实验室(INL)组长。该团队主要研究方向为分子水平的下一代精确/个体化医疗技术开发及创新,如核磁共振,电子自旋共振,自旋电子,拉曼光谱等,检测功能方式主要以原位,快速,高通量和多维分子表型为主。临床实践成功验项目包括快速无标签疟疾筛查,糖尿病氧化应激的高通量分子表型分型,子宫内膜异位症分层,以及血红蛋白病分子表型的多维光谱分析等。

四、伊比利亚国际纳米技术实验室(INL)

伊比利亚国际纳米技术实验室(INL)位于葡萄牙北部的布拉加(Braga),INL是欧洲第一个在国际法律框架下设立的、专注于纳米技术研究的实验室,同时也是伊比利亚半岛上第一个国际性科学研究机构。INL旨在成为世界范围的纳米技术中心,应对社会的巨大挑战。INL研究计划包括纳米科学和纳米技术应用的四个战略领域:食品和环境监测,ICT,可再生能源和健康。

Development of Multidimensional NMR Spectroscopy for Next Generation of Molecular Phenotyping for Health and Diseases

Introduction:

In the early 90’s, as the first human genome project was initiated, an extensive effort has been placed on mapping the role of genes in the onset of disease. Genetic contribution to different diseases however, were found to be varies and often very little, with non-genetic factors (e.g., environmental hazards, diet, microbiome) having much greater attributable risks, and thereby producing ‘stochastically’ large phenotypic pool. The key goal to understanding human health and disease is to access the ‘genotype-phenotype’ correlogram, and the success of translating precision medicine (e.g., molecular medicine) into clinical settings.

Job Role & Key Responsibilities

The China Medical University is seeking for a qualified and passionate researchers from the Assistant Professorship level to Postdoctoral Researchers to work on developing the next generation of molecular phenotyping using (ultra)fast, multidimensional NMR spectroscopic (in time or/and frequency domain) to produce highly unique molecular fingerprinting of cells/tissue, using microscale compact NMR system (e.g., low-field benchtop, hand-held single chip). The group will carried out clinical studies focus on several (and not limited to) chronic diseases (e.g., diabetes mellitus, cancer, endometriosis) with local hospitals in Shenyang China, and several international collaboration sites in Europe and South East Asia. This is an exciting opportunity working in a multi-disciplinary environment and international collaborations, with the possibility of holding a joint appointment in International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, Europe.  

 

Job Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

·  PhD degree in Electrical/Biomedical/Mechanical Engineering, Bio-Chemistry, Applied Physics or a related field of study, acquired prior to the intended starting date.

·  Excellent Postdoctoral working experience in the area of NMR, or disease model (e.g., cancer, diabetes, endometriosis), or genetics, algorithm genotype-phenotype network mapping. 

·  Solid knowledge and vast experience in multidimensional NMR spectroscopy or metabolomics NMR, magnetic resonance imaging (or fMRI), electron spin resonance, or other related analytical methods (e.g., spintronic, Raman spectroscopy).

·  Knowledge and experience in IRB application, and handling clinical samples;

·  Prior experience in instrumentation development (e.g., radio frequency probe, gradient field) and knowledge in multivariate analysis is highly evaluated.

 

Personal Skills

·  Strong motivation to work both independently and as part of a team in an highly interdisciplinary environment, with the ability to pay close attention to detail and to meet deadlines;

·  A good track record of disseminating research results.

·  Experience in carrying out research in collaboration with industry is highly valued.

About Weng Kung Group: Weng Kung is the Full Professor (Under the China 1000 Youth Programme) at China Medical University and Group Leader at International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), Europe. The team group interest focuses on developing and translating technological innovations (e.g., nuclear magnetic resonance, electron spin resonance, spintronic, Raman spectroscopic) for the next generation of precision/personalized medicine at molecular level, which enables in-situ, rapid, high-throughput, and multidimensional molecular phenotyping in functional manner. Some of his team successful projects validated in clinical setting include the rapid and label-free malaria screening, high-throughput molecular phenotyping of oxidative stress in diabetes mellitus, sub-stratification of endometriosis, and multidimensional spectroscopy for molecular phenotyping in hemoglobinopathies.
